Committees
Leadership development is one of the benefits to participating in a non-profit, professional organization like SWE SCMI. One easy way to participate is to volunteer to work on a committee or event.

AWARDS AND NOMINATIONS
If you enjoy seeing your SWE colleagues recognized for their achievements or seeing the great programs and events our section develops in the spotlight, please consider volunteering for the Awards and Nominations Committee! Committee members will help identify outstanding programs/individuals to recognize and then assist with award nomination submissions. Members will develop our section’s succession plan by nominating/recruiting future leaders for offices at each level of the society.
COMMUNICATIONS
Picture this: Women building balloon airplanes while building relationships with young girls in the local community. Wouldn’t it be amazing to capture that perfect moment when everyone is so engaged? If you are artistic and crafty, yet organized and technically savvy the Communications Committee is for you! You will grow, network, and be a go-to person for information about current and past events/activities for our SCMI Chapter! You can look forward to photography, creative writing, and Facebook (not something we do at our everyday jobs as engineers!)
We are also always looking for Event Sponsors for the exciting and engaging events that we put on! If you are interested in being a part of any of the above committees or planning/organizing one of our many awesome events, please email scmi.swe@gmail.com!
