SWENext
SWENext SCMI is the South Central Michigan Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers SWENext organization. Our Chapter supports Future Engineers in Greater Kalamazoo, Coldwater, Marshall, Plainwell, South Haven, Three Rivers and the surrounding areas.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) welcomes K-12 students to join SWENext to become a part of the engineering community. SWENext provides a variety of quality programs, resources, and access to engineers to empower students to prepare for engineering and technology careers. SWENext's Mission:
- Empower students to prepare for careers in engineering and technology
- Provide programming for students to develop leadership skills and self-confidence to succeed in careers in engineering and technology.
- Expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life.
- Demonstrate the value of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Provide programming to empower students to become advocates for peers and younger girls.
